Fishy Field Trip to the Mokelumne River 🐟

After carefully raising salmon in their classroom from salmon eggs into fingerlings, our students took a trip to the Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery to release the tiny salmon back into their home river. On the trip, students learned about the salmon lifecycle and the ecosystem that supports their growth. They got to take one final, close look at the fingerlings before waving goodbye and wishing them well on their journey to the sea!
